Stages of Sheet Bending Process

Sheet bending is a fundamental process carried out in many industrial facilities. In the past, this process was performed manually, using imprecise machines or tools. Thanks to such technologically advanced machines, we can distinguish three stages of sheet bending:

• Elastic bending: allows for flexible adjustment of the sheet to the desired shape
• Plastic bending: the sheet is bent in a way that enables permanent changes to its shape
• Coining: allows for precise finishing of the bend and gives it its final shape.
